MicroDermAbrasion
Microdermabrasion is a revolutionary method of exfoliating the skin. This method has been popular in Europe for over 10 years. The Esteem Laser Centre operates the Medical grade M D Peel Microdermabrasion system.
HOW? This system uses a compressor and a suction pump that works in unison to project micro-crystals onto the skin. The unit simultaneously vacuums the area and removes the exfoliated dead skin cells leaving the epidermis instantly smooth and rejuvenated. HOW OFTEN?
Most people will see results after the 1st treatment, however
for the most effective results we recommend a series of 5-10 sessions.
Treatments may be repeated as often as every 7 to 10 days.
During your complimentary consultation we will assess your skin
treatment needs and this will influence the frequency of treatments needed. BEFORE treatment you will be advised not to apply any products containing alpha, beta, of poly- hydroxyl acids, L-ascorbic acid or Retin-A for at least 3 days prior and AFTER treatments. AFTER the
skin will be slightly pink and warm following the treatment lasting only 5-15
minutes, however can last up to 24 hours.
A very nourishing medical grade nutrient moisturizer is applied
immediately afterwards. Treatments
are generally not uncomfortable and take approximately 20 to 30 minutes in
length. CONTRAINDICATIONS:
treatments cannot be performed on those with tanned skin, rosacea,
warts, herpes, accutane, active acne, if waxing, electrolysis, laser or
injections have been performed less than 7 days prior. PRICE may exceed $175.00 per
treatment depending on the condition of the skin and if the décolleté
(chest) area needs to be treated.
